All Cities in Indiana -- Teens who love
animals now have an opportunity to help them and earn community service
hours for school.
"The program will
allow students to share their energy and talents
with others. Through these activities they can develop a greater awareness
of themselves, build confidence as well as a concern for other people and
animals alike. It will allow them to help make a difference.,"
says Lisa Rice, Secretary and Fund Raising Director of Indiana
Petite Paws Rescue.
The teens will work with adult volunteers
of the organization in helping find unwanted pets a forever home,
organizing fund raisers and even planning community events.
Benefits of the Petite Paws Teens
Program include spending time with animals in need, educating the
public about the importance of spaying and neutering to decrease today’s
pet over-population, the importance of proper Vet care, promote public
awareness on Puppy Mills, learn leadership and mentoring skills, meet
professionals in the pet care industry, make new friends, accumulate
community service hours, and earning eligibility for college scholarships.
